The short version
You have 30 days from delivery to tell us you want to return something. It needs to be unused and in its original packaging. We will refund the price of the item once it is back with us and checked.
Starting a return
Email hello@newbloompots.com or call (602) 390-9985 with your order number and which items you want to send back. Please do not ship anything before you hear from us — large planters are collected rather than posted, and returns sent without arrangement can go missing.
We will reply with either a prepaid label or a collection booking, depending on how the item was delivered:
- Boxed items — you will get a return label to print. Repack the pot in its original box with the original padding.
- Crated items — we book a freight collection from the delivery address. The planter must be re-crated in the timber crate it arrived in, so please keep it until you are sure you are keeping the pot.
Return shipping cost
If the item arrived damaged, faulty, or is not what you ordered, we cover the return in full and there is nothing to pay.
If you have simply changed your mind, the outbound and return shipping costs are deducted from your refund. For crated freight that can be a substantial amount, so it is worth measuring your space before ordering — every product page lists the outer diameter and height.
Refunds
Refunds go back to the original payment method within five business days of the return arriving and passing inspection. Your bank or card issuer may take a few days more to show it. If you paid with Klarna or Affirm, the refund is applied against your instalment plan and they will adjust your remaining payments.
What we cannot take back
- Pots that have been planted in, filled with soil, or used outdoors.
- Items returned without the original packaging, where that packaging was needed to ship them safely.
- Anything reported more than 30 days after delivery.
A note on hand-made planters
Terra Botanica and Bad Names planters are thrown and finished by hand, and the Bad Names range is fired in a traditional wood kiln. Small differences in colour, surface texture, height and profile between one pot and the next are a feature of that process, not a defect, and are not grounds for a return. Genuine faults — cracks, chips, a base that will not sit flat — obviously are, and we will sort those out.
Outdoor planters also weather and develop a patina over time. That is the material doing what it is meant to do.
Damaged on arrival
Photograph the packaging and the planter and email us within 48 hours of delivery. We will send a replacement or refund you in full, and we will arrange collection of the damaged item. You will not be asked to pay return shipping.
Cancelling an order
If your order has not been dispatched yet, email us and we will cancel it and refund you in full. Once a pallet has been booked with the freight carrier we may not be able to stop it, in which case it becomes a change-of-mind return.
Where returns go
Returns are received at our warehouse, 1319 E Chandler Blvd, Phoenix, AZ 85048, USA. Please do not send anything there without arranging it with us first — unannounced returns are easily mislaid.
